Backup Generator & UPS Services
The backbone of productivity relies on power. Whether your building automobiles, specialty medical equipment, office furniture, consumer electronics, airplanes, plastics or anything else, you must have power. When the power goes out, (usually during your most productive times), whether it’s due to weather or power grid failures, you could quickly suffer inventory losses, equipment failures or miss delivery deadlines resulting in the loss of potentially millions of dollars in revenue.
In many cases, loss of power causes the final product to spoil, become waste and ultimately it has to be disposed of, which can also bring about unexpected expenses. Employees working overtime hours unfortunaely does not make up for the waste.
With all the production you have to meet, you need genuine redundant power to keep you operating regardless of weather or power conditions. Craft Electric & Maintenance can help you ensure you never miss a moment of productivity.
Backup Generators & UPS FAQs
What is a Backup Generator?
A backup or standby generator is a back-up electrical system that operates automatically. Within seconds of a utility outage an automatic transfer switch senses the power loss, commands the backup generator to start and then transfers the electrical load to the generator. The backup or standby generator then begins supplying power to the circuits.
What is a UPS?
A UPS, or uninterruptible power supply or uninterruptible power source, is an electrical apparatus that provides emergency power to a load when the input power source or mains power fails.
What are the benefits of backup generators & UPS systems?
Backup generators & UPS systems provide the following benefits:
- Uninterrupted production in your facility
- Reduction or elimination of waste or defective products as a result of power loss
- Equipment is protected from hazardous voltage fluctuations and surges when main power is restored
