WHY IS QUALIFIED PERSON(S) TRAINING AND SKILLS ASSESSMENT IMPORTANT?

QUALIFIED PERSON(S) TRAINING AND SKILLS ASSESSMENT:
Our programs are designed by our staffed NFPA Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP) and follow NFPA 70 E Article 110.
Objective: Provide the necessary training to enable a qualified person(s) to implement the safety-related work practices and procedures required by NFPA 70E (2018). We recommend this training for those who access electrical equipment, controllers, machines, or devices with exposure to energized electrical conductors and circuit parts.
Qualified Person(s) Training and Skills Assessment Class Overview

| To provide qualified individuals with safety-related work practices and procedural requirements. | A three-hour classroom/lecture with an exam. Followed by 30 to 45 minutes of one-on-one or with two (Buddy system) hands-on task-oriented training per qualified individual. | 3.5 hours total per individual – with one-on-one or two (Buddy system) instruction staged through the day included in the total time. | Typically, 10 to 12 qualified individuals are an entire one-day session. Each individual receives an estimated 30 to 45 minutes of individual instruction/assessment. |
*** The recommended training program for qualified individuals is the Arc Flash Hazard Awareness session, followed by the Qualified Person(s) Training and Skills Assessment. The combination of these two classes builds the qualified individuals' knowledge base on the hazards of the electrical system and the knowledge to perform designated tasks safely.
The purpose of this training is to assess the employees' ability to establish an electrically safe working condition.
